Import route from GoogleMaps
I would like to import a route from Google Maps. I'm not expecting it to be identical turn-for-turn. However, I would like to pick a start and destination, and either add additional destination/waypoints, or use the route-drag option to create waypoints. By importing a 'route' which is only a collection of the waypoints from the google maps it should be easier than trying to import the exact route. This would be sufficient for most of my requirements.

Hi,
option to import route will most probably be added with future updates. When (if) it will be ready to release, we will let you know.-

Why is this such a hard thing to do? A route is nothing more than a database, and csv is a common file format for this. When I create a route in Sygic with waypoints, all I am doing is creating a database file in your app that the navigation portion communicates with to get the next waypoint, this seems like a silly item to not have already implemented, and makes the concept of a purchase a waste of money.
I have some custom addresses for some of my trips, I don't need to list restaurants and rest areas in my Contacts, when I only use them for traveling, so I use Trippster, which let me create a custom address book, and then build a very easy route out of that. I can even export it in CSV format, so I can use it elsewhere, this seemed like the perfect time to test out Sygic, since I am taking a route I know, and can compare the app's results to my own. Instead, I have to build the whole trip from the ground up if I want to do it in your app.
Sad, really sad. Simple things get pushed aside.
Oh well, the built in Google Navigation is pretty nice, and it's free, maybe that's a sign that I could better spend my money. -

The ability to import planned routes from Google Maps would be absolutely brilliant and I can't wait. As a motorcyclist, I don't usually seek out the shortest or fastest route; I seek out the most interesting!

Agreed 110%. Looking forward to this becoming an option

Is their any update planned to import prepared routes in Sygic. I'am looking for navigation software that can do that on my iphone.

I hope it will be possible to import also gpx Files with rotes for calculating it new in Sygic. Very good for offroad navigation would bei an import of GPX tracks with the possibility to follow that track.

GPX import is very important for me. I have a Garmin navigation vith nüLink services and my subscription will end soon. So I want to move to Sygic. But I ́m used to plan routes before trips in computer. If Sygic have this feature, definitely buying it.

Both imports from Google maps and the Garmin gpx format would be the best expansion on the Sygic product and elevate it to the top level of motorcycle navigation systems.

Rather than Google Maps it would be better to be able to TYRE to plot a route and then import, as you can with TomTom and Garmin.

I'm used to using Google Maps with NDrive11 for Android, which gives a great advantage over Sygic this point. But after working with Sygic, I was very pleased with this product. It is faster in finding satellites, has more functions and is more updated maps, although the latter has already need a good update on the Map of Portugal (which I hope soon). What I did not like and that surprised me was the fact that the Sygic does not work with Google Maps, and other applications like (the Compass Catch.com) which is quite useful to mark points of interest. With NDrive11 can not work with Sygic. I hope soon to implement all this and more than has been requested by other users of Sygic. I'm also already own Sygic user and would like to see this situation resolved. Best wishes to the whole team and a good job.
